A decision has been reached regarding Rangers’ away allocation for the post-split derby at Celtic Park.
After Celtic’s home match against St Mirren, they will discover their split fixtures, which could be decisive for their title ambitions.
There are just four league matches left until Celtic will face the top half in the remaining games.
With Celtic having played Rangers at Ibrox twice this season, Celtic Park will stage the final derby of the campaign.
On Sunday, there were dramatic scenes at the end of the match.
As Celtic fans were celebrating the 4-2 shootout victory, Rangers fans rushed toward the away section, with the police cordon only just managing to keep them back. However, a Celtic staff member was attacked.
Despite the incidents involving Rangers supporters, Celtic will still honour the agreement and provide Rangers the 2,500 away briefs that they received on January 3rd, Record Sport reports.
Discussions between the SPFL and the police have seemingly already taken place, and there has been no effort to alter the number of away supporters for this match.
Celtic will also host Hearts in the split, which could prove title-defining.
Hopefully, the police will step up their efforts and ensure no trouble arises from that section of the stadium.
